The Tampa Fringe Summer fundraiser!
Thank you all so much for supporting us this Summer! The party was amazing and the festival felt the love. We are looking forward to organizing the new space & inviting you back! Our weekly Tuesday open mic will resume in its new home soon.
The Why: This summer, Fringe Festivals were made a scapegoat for the veto of all of Florida’s Arts & Culture funding, when the Governor referred to us as a “sex festival”. We’ve heard no response since our open letter on World Fringe Day, in which we offered to give up our 2025 funding, alongside Orlando Fringe, in exchange for him championing a restoration of the Arts & Culture funding for the state.
The Goal: As a result, we need to raise $20,000. That is our $15K state grant + the originally intended $5K we hoped to raise this summer. These funds are CRITICAL for our continuation, as they are the backbone of our administration. We had a fab 2024 Fringe Festival: we were up 30%! But as you know, we give 100% of the ticket proceeds back to the artists. Help us to continue our growth and keep our accessible, affordable platform going for 2025!
